The Top Ten Pokemon (In My Eyes) - Número Siete

Okay, before we go, Número siete is Spanish for Number Seven. Now then - let's go - number seven!

Name: Charizard
Nickname: Charcoal
Type: Fire/Flying
My Moveset: Flamethrower, Wing Attack, Blast Burn, Mega Kick
About: Venusaur was my first ever starter, in the old days of Red and Blue. But, in reality, I probably didn't do a very good job training it. So when LeafGreen and FireRed came out, I thought that I should do a good job of Venusaur this time. But in the end, I picked Charizard. And I was right to do so. It is actually the hardest game difficulty picking Charmander, but I stuck with it, and it pays off. Charizard is may favourite (and probably the best ever starter), followed by Blaziken, who didn't make it into the top ten. It has colossal attack and special attack, so is a force to be reckoned with.

The Top Ten Pokemon (In My Eyes) - Nummer Acht

Alright, if anyone didn't know what that said, or if what I put was wrong and I look like an idiot, Nummer Acht means Number Eight. Anyway, here we go...

Name: Suicune
Nickname: Sweetcune
Type: Water
My Moveset: Body Slam, Surf, Aurora Beam, Hydro Pump
About: Unlike the one before it Suicune is much better. In fact, it is probably the king (though genderless) or water Pokemon. Although there is Slowking, so lets call it the genderless queen of water Pokemon. Suicune is a legendary Pokemon, one of the legendary trio of Gold, Silver and Crystal. It was available in Gold, Silver and Crystal and also in LeafGreen and FireRed, as long as Charmander was your starter (like me :)!) It probably doesn't have have the widest movepool ever, but at least it has a bigger one than Magikarp...

The Top Ten Pokemon (In My Eyes) - Numero Neuf

Okay, sorry about the french part in the title (if you don't know what it meant, it said number nine). This Pokemon is an all-time classic, you just gotta have one in your team, its....

Name: Magikarp
Nickname: Magickarp (Yeah, really magic)
Type: Water
My Moveset: Splash (The best ever Pokemon attack), Tackle, Flail
About: Well, everyone's gotta have a place in their heart for this poor, pathetic useless Pokemon. Capable of learning only these attacks on all of the RPG's on the Gameboys, not even Surf, this pathetic fish is terrible. It has super-low stats too. But, if someone has the patience, and perseveres enough, then Magikarp becomes a very strong Pokemon, Gyarados. Do you have that? I don't.

The Top Ten Pokemon (In My Eyes)

Okay, so I haven't done much on the blog in a while, but now I shall! The new feature is: The Top Then Pokemon (In My Eyes), every now and then, I shall post a Pokemon, write a little about it, and why I like it. So, here is, number 10 (hehe, I'm so random):

Name: Nidoqueen
Nickname: Queencrush
Type: Ground/Poison
My Moveset: Fissure, Blizzard, Strength, Surf
About: I guess the only reason why I like this, is because it was in my first ever Pokemon team. It has a wide variety of learn-able attacks too, as well as some strange ones like Surf! But, this was in the old days of Pokemon Blue, and if I trained another one, the moveset would probably be different, and it probably couldn't learn Surf. Awww...

Oh... wait!

Just after I posted, something has happened. Okay, so it's a random topic but, it is actually quite interesting... and scary. The wind is gusting like mad. The lampposts outside are wobbling, and I'm sure trees may have fallen down. I went outside, and the wind nearly blew me away! How strong!? So umm... also, the blog has past the 30 posts mark. Yay!

Ugh...

Well... literally, since the last time I posted, only one thing has happened to me. But it isn't interesting at all. Homework, and lots of it. Nothing is happening apart from a now endless supply of it, and this means I have no time to play on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, so the review is being delayed. :( Well, hopefully things will get better....

Did you have a Happy Christmas?

I know I did! I received many gifts which you are sure to know about on this blog. They will be reviewed extensively, so keep visiting to find out about them. Also, I have some exciting news: a fellow blogger might join up with this blog! If so, then there will be more reviews and interesting stuff on the blog than ever before! Anyway, back to the gifts, among them were the Supernova Exo-Force Lego Model (see right), and (see picture below) an iPod Nano! The Nintendo DS game Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team is now in my possession, so a review will be coming soon. Keep visiting!

Yes!

Now my Neopets look so cool. If you visit my userlookup, or just keep reading on, you'll find out why! As you might or might not know (you will now anyway), I have been saving up for ages, to buy something. Finally, my chance came, and for 91,920 np, or something around that, I bought a vile-looking potion. Yeah ok, it's probably not safe, and it may have some after-effects, but look what it did to dementedfrog205, he looks so cool!

+ =

Also, it's good news on itsagoal.com. My team in now eleventh in the table. We have had two smashing wins. We beat one team five goals to one! Then the next match, we win four goals to none! We are on a rampage now. Do you think we will make it to the top?

Finally!

Woohoo! It's finally over. My school term's over and it's the christmas holidays once again! I've been keeping up with the advent calendar too. I've been having a great run on itsagoal.com too. Now my team is 13th (my team is called J United), although 13 is an unlucky number, so that is a bit ominous... Anyways, I'll be sorting out labels for the blog, so.. yeah. See ya.

Stuff...

I've not been doing much lately, don't know why. I've mostly been on Neopets, updating my shop, and buying new stuff (see picture on left). That's a new petpet for dementedfrog205, it's called an Abominable Snowball. My other petpet, for redeagle205 it's called a Mallard (see picture on right). They're basically just toys for you neopet, or pets. Also, your petpet can get a pet too, it's called a petpetpet (wow, what a hard name to guess), but they're really hard to come buy, or expensive to buy. I am keeping up with the advent calendar too. Also, on itsagoal.com, my team is on a role. We were last, but now we're fifteenth! Yeah! Can we keep it up?

Fifa 07 (PS2) - The Review

In this post, football means soccer to anyone who thinks this is about American Football.

Fifa 07, which is available on most consoles, is a video game that lets you play football matches, that are very similar to the real thing. As well as that, you have the opportunity to create a player, and inject them into the game, letting them play for your favourite club. There is also a Manager Mode, in which you can manage your favourite teams, do transfers, renew the players contacts and find new undiscovered talent. (It is similar to itsagoal.com, except you actually play the matches, and there aren't as many things to do, like training, and stuff like that). There are online game modes, in which you can play other people across the globe!

After the brilliant Fifa 06 was released, EA had a lot to do to improve the game even more. There have been a few things added, some improvements, others, well, not so good. Firstly, a new kind of shot has been added. They had the normal shot, then the chip shot, and now the Fitnesse Shot! Basically, while holding L2 when shooting, the player reduces power, but increases accuracy. Unfortunately, I have found this ineffective, so it is not much to talk about.

The table colours, and the general graphics have been updated. The game runs smoother, but there have been a few stutters, and jumps whilst I have been playing, and something else strange has happened. When playing, the game suddenly freezes, and my PS2 emits this strange buzzing noise. It is very creepy, and has happened twice to me, but it might just be my old PS2.

Manager Mode has been majorly updated, with more things to do, like finding new talent, in the youth academy, player growth (when a player gets better after a playing a match), financial predictions, and real money (euros, dollars or pounds) for the first time! In general gampeplay - this applies to manager mode too - substitutions are needed more often, not just for injuries, as players gradually tire throughout games. In addition, there is something new which is really useful. A yellow dot appears on the ground, wherever the ball will bounce for the first time. This is very useful, meaning that you can move your players to the right place, if the ball is off, or very high up the screen.

Like on the Nintendo DS, version, Fifa 07 allows you to create a club. This would be good, but unlike on the DS, it is impossible to have a team of created players, as there are only sixteen slots for created, so if you want a dream team, they would have to be at least a few of the best players on the game, who still fail in comparison to the mighty created players (who's stats are all maxed out, if you want them to be)! But, you can use your club in Manager Mode, and decide how much money they can start with.

There are some bad bits though as well, the new corner system is probably degraded from it's predecessor, as well as the goal kick system. The game also uses the same dreadful direct free-kick system, and I have never ever received an indirect one. Finally, I have noticed that it is now possible for your team to do handballs too, even though that isn't a benefit, I just thought I'd put it in there. :)

So here we go, Fifa 07, the sequel to Fifa 06.

Is it better? Yes, but only just, not as much as an improvement as I would have liked, the yellow dot where the ball bounced won it for me.

Who is this game best for? Well, apparently, the Pro-Evolution Soccer games are the best, but I am a long time Fifa fan, so I would buy it. Anyway, as long as you like football, this game is good for you. There is no particular age range.

What's the rating then? I would give it 8 out of 10, a good score, making it a good game, but there is still room for improvement. Still well worth buying!

Rping on Neopets, having lots of new stuff come, so a lot will be coming on the blog soon. :) I keep finding 1000 np on the floor. Also, it's now advent, so the Neopets advent calendar is up! Bleh!

Bleh! I'm a bit sick today, and I'm not really enjoying it. I won't go into the details, but this gives me more time to play on Neopets, and there is one big difference I think I should show you. In the games section of Neopets, there
has been a large change. Someone called the Games Master has challenged all of neopia, setting Neopians challenges. If they are completed, the person who completed it shall receive a prize. (I have done 2 challenges so far). Also, the section has been completely re-modeled. Click here to see. Note: The link has now expired.

Happy Birthday!

Loads of stuff is happening on Neopets. They're celebrating their seventh birthday, so there is a whole new sidebar, just for the day! Go here to see it (it is too late to see the different sidebar now), or why not sign up, just for the occasion. Then you get to see my brand new lookup, just because I have been on
Neopets for more than 40 months! Come and see! My lookup is from ticklishdesigns.com.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon

Aside from doing creepy cheats on my old Pokemon Blue game (such as MissingNo.), I watched the first episode of the new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon anime. To be honest, I wasn't very impressed. Although this was primarily because it was aimed at the young generation (3-8 years old). The Pokemon acted as if they were young, had silly voices, and the bad guys weren't exactly bad.

If you don't know what Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is, here's the lowdown:
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (Blue rescue team for Nintendo DS, and Red rescue team for GameBoy Advance), are 2 new video games, that expand the world of Pokemon. In the game, there are NO HUMANS AT ALL!!! You just play wild Pokemon, which have formed rescue teams to help Pokemon in danger. The main character (the player), is originally a human, but one day wakes up as a Pokemon. You meet other Pokemon, who form a rescue team with you. It's your job to save wild Pokemon in need, and unravel the mystery of why you're one! It's on my Christmas list!

GRRRRRRRR!!!

I've been playing on my Pokemon LeafGreen, for hours on end, with hardly any stopping. I'm desperately trying to capture Chanseys, but not just normal ones, ones that are holding a lucky egg. These Pokemon are rare enough, but only 5% of them have a lucky egg! (Facts and figures from psypokes.com). The only reason I have a picture of a lucky egg is because my brother has one on his game (even though it is a rubbish image), and he won't give it to me :( If you know how to get one easily, please, please tell me!!!

Lookie Here

See this mean Lego Vikings catapult that I bought for only about £15! When you twist a crank it goes into rapid fire! I don't know how to video it and get it onto the blog for you, so this image will have to do. It takes 6 Lego men to pull it, as well as one brave Viking leader to command them. I hope the picture is in high definition. See ya round!

P.S: I hope you all had a spooky Halloween, I had a happy one - no "trick-or-treaters"!
